Picturesque Downtown Kenosha

When the warm weather arrives, trees are in bloom, and the breeze coming off Lake Michigan feels refreshing (as opposed to chilly as it does in December and January)… there is one thing I love to do. Head Downtown with my camera and capture all the moments of beauty and fun!

Many people love to take photos of the Pierhead Lighthouse (the red one, that is). It’s an icon at our lakefront, and it is definitely a beautiful part of photography year-round. Last weekend I spent a solid six or seven hours wandering around snapping pictures. I’m never the only one out and about with a camera – people are always taking pictures in Downtown Kenosha. Believe it or not (I know some people won’t believe it…) but we live in an incredibly beautiful community.

From our beautiful view of Lake Michigan to the parks that grant public access to the shoreline, the water is just the beginning of great photography options. Public art, charming coffee shops, world-class museums and more all make our community a true delight. Who wouldn't want to take pictures of Downtown Kenosha when there is so much to see and do? Here are some popular spots to pose for a pic:
